Research Committee
Committee duties: The Research Committee serves as an advisory board to the College of Graduate Studies and Research regarding research and creative activities and promotion of research and creative activities across campus. The Research Committee is currently charged with evaluation of two cycles (Fall, Spring) of Faculty Research Grant (FRG) proposals, and the selection of the Distinguished Faculty Scholar awardees and advising on matters pertaining to research and creative work. The committee initiates, reviews, and recommends changes in policies and procedures related to discovery, creativity, and scholarship to the FA Executive Committee and the Administration. In addition, Research Committee representatives bring forward issues and concerns from their units.
Time commitment: The committee generally meets about once per month with additional meetings associated with selection of the Distinguished Faculty Scholar and the awarding of the Faculty Research Grants.
