Graduate Curriculum and Academic Policy Committee
Committee duties : GCAP’s primary roles and responsibilities include:
Review and approve all graduate curriculum proposals in the Curriculum Design System (CDS)
Approve all Graduate Faculty Status Applications
Solicit and recommend a thesis for submission to Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools (MAGS) competition on behalf of MSU Mankato
Discuss any graduate education issues and policies that may need comments from the GCAP Committee.
Time commitment : GCAP typically meets once a month for two hours September – January. In February and early March, the committee usually needs to meet weekly for two hours to review all CDS proposals prior to spring break. GCAP also meets once a month for two hours throughout the academic year with administration in a GCAP Submeet.
